Put together at the request of the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles, this programme pays tribute to Henri Larrivée, a famous French baritone who flourished during the reign of Louis XVI. The evening focuses on arias from the new "heroic" style of Parisian opera in the late 18th century, which heralded the Romantic grand opera of the following century. The soloist is a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition (2000). A treat and a discovery!
