In both Brussels and Lille the NOB will be conducted by none other than Vladimir Fedoseyef in an attractive, predominantly Russian programme. They will play a symphonic fairytale by Sofiya Gubaydulina, as well as Prokofiev's optimistic Fifth Symphony. The Russian pianist Anna Vinnitskaya, first laureate of the 2007 Queen Elisabeth Competition, provides the cherry on the tart with her performance of Schumann's Piano Concerto.
