Music is unlikely ever to prevent or halt conflicts. Come what may, however, it remains a universal medium for messages of hope. For its first edition at the Centre for Fine Arts, the Huza Rwanda festival brings together, on the one stage, some of the greatest artists of Rwanda - as well as of Burundi and the Congo. Soukous, Burundian drums, Rwandan dance, and even hip hop and R&B: an array of styles joining forces today to promote the social harmony that every community craves.
