The Brussels-based OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen brings architecture back to the essentials: with a limited set of basic rules a framework is created within which life in all its complexity can be played out. The point of departure for the exhibition Everything Architecture is the idea that each and every one of their products is a project in itself. Models, drawings and perspectives created by the architects are displayed in the antechambers of the Centre for Fine Arts, together with works of art that are related to the spirit and language of this firm of architects. These works of art are more than sources of inspiration. They delve deeper into the ambiguity of representation and abstraction. Crucially important is the way in which the works are seen to inter-relate, both spatially and in terms of content.
