Almost thirty years ago Frank Zappa (1940 – 1993) played his final concert on Belgian soil in the velodrome ‘t Kuipke in Ghent. The celebrated humorist, composer, guitarist and conductor pulled out all the stops and gave his last masterclass in brilliant madness there. On Monday 16 October 2017 Dweezil Zappa and his band honour the musical heritage of his father. Under the motto ‘accept no substitutes’ he breathes new life into his father’s work with Zappa plays Zappa. You can expect well-worn versions of classics from the complete oeuvre of The Mothers of Invention and Zappa senior. And don’t forget your air guitar because ‘The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing’!
