Two great works from the French repertoire: Chausson's only symphony, which shows the influence of Wagner and Franck, and Exeo, Dusapin's fifth solo for orchestra, which sounds like a sort of musical lava flow, radiant with energy. In between, we will hear Prokofiev's formidable Second Piano Concerto, which confronts its interpreters with the limits of their physical capacities.
