BOZAR’s new department ‘BOZAR LAB’ is opening its doors on 14 September. It’s a brand new space for art, new media and technology. It’s a place where artists, researchers and the general public can meet to critically reflect on innovation, at the crossroads of different disciplines. The LAB opens in the context of the BOZAR Electronic Arts Festival with the symposium Art, Science and Technology Collaborations in Europe and with the exhibition The Archaeology of the Screen. The Estonian Example, which focuses on video art from Estonia, the digital pioneer in Europe. BOZAR LAB means the Centre for Fine Arts now has a dedicated area for research into the link between art, society and technology, with conferences, exhibitions, calls for projects and plenty more besides.
