The idea is 120 years old already. In fact, it’s as old as cinema itself. When the Lumière brothers first screened their short films before audiences, a pianist accompanied them, performing live music on a piano in front of the screen. With Toons’n’tunes, the BIG BANG festival now breathes new life into this art form. Some of the best cartoons, such as Felix the Cat and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, have been given a new lease on life thanks to the live music of a fantastic Hamburg-based trio. A show that is jam-packed with humour, but also interspersed with creative finds and stunning technical execution. The project was a smash hit at the Hamburg BIG BANG festival. Now we offer you the chance to enjoy 40 minutes of fun, here in Brussels.
