Gustave Fundi and Glodie Mubikay are Congolese filmmakers, producers and directors, who first met in 2011 during the young filmmakers’ workshop at the Halle de l’Étoile in Lubumbashi. They created O2 Studios in 2012 and got involved in the production of several shorts, with a particular focus on the fantasy, horror, paranormal and science-fiction genres.

Visual artist, filmmaker and musician, Lucile Desamory has presented her works at the likes of the Tate Modern, the Anthology Film Archives, the Mu.ZEE and the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art. Her records have been released on the Staubgold and M.Minimal labels. She is also the author of several radiophonic creations produced by France Culture and Deutschland Funk.

In 2016, O2 Studios and Lucile Desamory entered into a collaboration, which resulted in several projects, such as the creation of a film exchange network but also the production of the feature-length film Suspended Disbelief – taking place in Belgium and the Democratic Republic of Congo – and the creation of a photo novel relating this collaboration. The particularity of this adventure is that the three artists have not yet met one other physically, but their films, their ideas and their passion, have gone before them and have consolidated the professional relationships and friendships which unite them.
