Branford Marsalis saxophone – Joey Calderazzo piano – Eric Revis double-bass – Justin Faulkner drums

Jazz legend Branford Marsalis is the grand master of the saxophone. He played with Sting and Miles Davis, founded the group Buckshot LeFonque and was band leader in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In recent years, he began to focus more upon classical music and he now performs regularly with several of the world’s leading orchestras, among them the Bavarian State Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.
BOZAR invites Branford Marsalis to Brussels, where he will play three concerts that demonstrate as many faces of his artistry. In his third and last concert he will perform with the quartet he has been performing with for more than 20 years: the Branford Marsalis Quartet. Get ready for a concert of sultry ballads and some very intense Nu jazz!

  • Two brothers, two destinies

One is a trumpeter, the other a saxophonist. One cannot imagine jazz without swing, the other willingly ventures to the boundaries of style. Brothers Wynton and Branford Marsalis each follow their own path. In February and March, we will host them successively for two series of exceptional concerts.
