The lecture by architect Adrien Verschuere inaugurates Performance & Performativity, the first monographic exhibition dedicated to the singular realm of BAUKUNST.
With professional experience in various internationally renowned offices, Adrien Verschuere established BAUKUNST in 2008, Brussels.
In 2017, the office expanded with the creation of a branch office in Lausanne. The same year, the first two projects built by BAUKUNST — the sports center La Fraineuse in Spa and the Jardin des Quatre Vents in Molenbeek — were nominated for the prestigious EU Mies Award. In 2018, in collaboration with the French office Bruther, BAUKUNST won the competition for the Maison des médias located on the site mediapark.brussels in Schaerbeek.
In parallel with his architectural practice, Adrien Verschuere is active in the fields of research and teaching. Indeed he is a teacher at the Université Catholique de Louvain (BE) and will be visiting professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (CH) from next September.
The conference will be followed by the opening of the exhibition in Horta Hall at 20:30.
