Mozart Concert Arias

His first love, Aloysia, his first Queen of the Night, Josepha, his wife, Constanze, and the Weber sisters all certainly had a crucial impact on the life and career of Mozart. All served as muses to the young prodigy from Salzburg as he was writing some of his most beautiful arias. With works composed between the opening of La Scala in 1778 and the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789, the conductor Raphaël Pichon and the French soprano Sabine Devieilhe, both specialists in this repertoire, present a New Year concert of Mozart’s music that is both harmonious and virtuosic.
