Ukrainian Spring
Anna and her four children live in a small town in the "red zone" of Donbass, Ukraine. To cope with a life disrupted by war, they decide to shoot films about their daily life and their real-life misadventures, as if they were in a fiction. An unexpected and meaningful point of view that makes us see love, friendship and hope in the midst of an extreme situation.
The Earth is blue as an orange premiered at the last edition of Sundance Film Festival (January 2020) and won the Directing Award in the World Cinema Documentary category.
Iryna Tsilyk was born in Kiev and graduated from the National University of Theatre, Cinematography and Television of Kiev. She is currently working in the film industry, directing both award-winning documentaries and fiction films.
