Les Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble and Marc Minkowski pay their own tribute on the occasion of Haydn's anniversary with a concert devoted to his symphonic work. They perform three of his six "Paris" symphonies, written for a Paris concert association. The works' nicknames are not by Haydn himself and tell us little about the music. Except perhaps for "La Reine": Marie-Antoinette is said to have been particularly fond of this Symphony No. 85.
