Independent film-makers, theatre people, and writers present a picture of everyday life in China. They experienced at first hand the aftermath of the Cultural Revolution and the Tiananmen student revolt. The memory of the recent past has left its mark. There is more to China than a rapidly rising great power or a treasure house with a rich past. It is a complex society made up of individuals, each with his or her individual story and history. Between the acts you can have a bite at our Noodle bar.
