Claudia Cardinale arrives on the red carpet at 19h00! You can welcome her then.

In the mid-Sixties Claudia Cardinale was not even 30 years old but already she was being cited as the most popular film star in Italy, even more than her famous compatriot Marcello Mastroianni. This is hardly surprising as she had already worked with Mario Monicelli, Pietro Germi, Abel Gance, Luchino Visconti and Federico Fellini by then. On 6 October BOZAR CINEMA & CINEMATEK will receive this great Italian actress who will personally present the digitally restored version of Luchino Visconti’s masterpiece Il Gattopardo (The Leopard). She will be interviewed on stage at the Centre for Fine Arts and discuss some the highlights of her life and career. The film will be projected on a big screen for the occasion.

A lyrical elegy about a nineteenth-century Sicilian aristocrat, as he witnesses the changes in a society where everything has to change "so nothing changes" and the legendary ball sequence where his destiny is forever sealed. With Alain Delon and a voluptuous Claudia Cardinale.
