A double programme of Belgian and international poetry, lavishly seasoned with music. The singer Filip Jordens, known for his acclaimed Jacques Brel programme, and the guitarist Jokke Schreurs have set poems by Charles Ducal, Belgium's first National Poet, to music. In addition, six European poets will read from their own work - both established figures and young talent. This programme of international poetry is the opening event of Transpoesie, an annual happening that takes poetry into the public space (metros, trams, and buses).

The poets will read in their own languages, but translations in French, English, and Dutch will be projected.

With Serge Delaive (Belgium), Kristin Dimitrova (Bulgaria), Athena Farrokhzad (Sweden), Sigurdur Pálsson (Iceland), Tomasz Rózycki (Poland) and Doina Ioanid (Romania)

Music : Filip Jordens and Jokke Schreurs sing poems of Charles Ducal, Belgium’s first Poet Laureate.
