BOZAR starts the new season with a song on its lips. During the SINGING BRUSSELS Celebration Weekend on 12, 13, and 14 September, an impressive range of choirs will perform at the Centre for Fine Arts, including professional choirs with major reputations (such as Voces 8 and the Tallis Scholars) and, above all, amateur choirs from all over Belgium. There will be music in every genre: classical music and Renaissance songs, gospel, pop, jazz, and world music. The music will be sung by people of every age, including the little singers of the Sterling children's choir. There will, moreover, be lots of local Brussels colour, with Moroccan, Turkish, African, and Latin American choirs. This musical weekend is part of the Singing Brussels project, which aims to get the whole city singing. In addition to the concerts, there will be singing workshops for young and old, led by professional musicians. And if you feel like it, you can sing your heart out in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall during a concert led by Voces 8. A collaborative project of BOZAR, A Coeur Joie, and Koor en Stem.
