In this new festival, you will find out why Bach was one of the greatest composers of all time. The Baroque specialist Philippe Herreweghe presents works by Bach side by side with those of composers who were influenced by him, from the Romantic era to modernism, revealing the scope of Bach's musical legacy. Herreweghe himself conducts the B minor Mass, among other works. Leading musicians, including Alexandre Tharaud, Bernard Foccroulle, and Daniel Müller-Schott, perform works by Schumann and Britten, among others, as well as by Bach.
