‘Bozar Next Generation: Trio Egmont’

10 Apr.'22
- 11:00

The Egmont Trio was formed in Brussels in 2019, expanding an original duo of two promising Italian musicians. The clarinettist Emanuele Mammarella had performed the world premiere of Joyce by Peter Eötvös, while the pianist Marco Mantovani was assistant professor of music at the Flemish Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Seeking to explore new sounds, the two welcomed a third musician, the young Spanish cellist Mariona Camats with her impressive CV, who was artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. At Bozar, the ensemble will give you a taste of the combination of clarinet, piano and cello with their rendering of Beethoven's charming Trio in E-flat major, op. 38, written when the composer was still in his early twenties.
