‘BRIDGES. East of West Film Days - 5th edition’

For this 5th edition, BRIDGES will honour contemporary cinema from Georgia and Ukraine. Exactly thirty years after the collapse of the Soviet Bloc, these two nations are still largely absent from our screens, with the exception of international festivals such as Berlin, Cannes, Karlovy Vary, Locarno or Rotterdam.

Ukraine and Georgia can boast of being particularly active countries in the field of cinema and offer an aesthetic universe with a particular flavour, which has found its way to Belgian and Brussels audiences.

Most of the films will be screened in the presence of their directors. Due to the health crisis and the many restrictions it imposes, this edition of BRIDGES will be limited to 6 films.
