School visits for early birds

Would you like to discover the major double exhibition on David Hockney with your class or group of students? During interactive guided tours that take place in the morning, Bozar offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in an exciting visit, in all tranquillity.

Bozar’s interactive tours focus on the students’ personal experience. While exploring the exhibition, an enthusiastic guide inspires them to analyse images, think critically and debate in group discussions and exercises. The main objective of this visit is to provide a context for the exhibition and the artworks and examine their contemporary relevance.

The major double exhibition marks the return of David Hockney (1937) to the Centre for Fine Arts after almost thirty years. In Works from the Tate Collection, 1954-2017 you go on a journey through Hockney’s entire career, with iconic images of the ‘swinging sixties’ in London and Southern California. The second exhibition, The Arrival of Spring, Normandy, 2020, exhibits the colourful iPad paintings he created during the first lockdown. During this interactive guided tour, our guide will challenge the young people on how we perceive the world. The link between art and visual perception, pop art, digital art and the influence of nature will be at the heart of the visit.

Are you working on a specific theme or project with your class? Then let us know. Our guides tailor their tour to each group and take your expectations into account.
