‘Opening Night: Eydís Evensen Performing with String Quartet’

17 Sept.'22
- 21:30

Icelandic pianist Eydís Evensen draws her inspiration from the natural forces of her country as well as from the minimalism of Philip Glass. Fascinated by classical music from an early age, she has continued to build her own personal universe over the years. This world is in the pure tradition of the Nordic countries, whose music frequently recalls the landscapes and reproduces the atmospheres and colours and the emotional harmonies they arouse. Eydís Evensen unveils her dreamy, melancholic compositions in the cosy setting of the M Hall; these melodies can be found in her album BYLUR and her EP FROST (XXIM RECORDS).
