It's been a year to the day that Wynton Marsalis and his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra shared the BOZAR stage with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. See you this Friday February 19 at 8pm to relive this concert experience.
One year ago Wynton Marsalis and his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) performed with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra (BJO) at BOZAR. The Brussels-New York alliance offered us a irresistible mix of warm and tasty sounds with standards of the big band repertoire, but also arrangements composed by the JLCO and by Bert Joris. This exceptional concert was sold out and gave a most electrifying atmosphere!
See you this Friday February 19 at 8pm to relive this joyful moment. The concert will be freely available for 24 hours on this page, Facebook and YouTube.
The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra from New York has championed the big band and the big band repertoire in jazz for many years. Its artistic leader is possibly even more famous. The much-lauded trumpet player and composer Wynton Marsalis holds nine Grammy Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for Music in his collection.
Founded in 1993, The Brussels Jazz Orchestra makes jazz ensemble music of the highest quality, with full artistic integrity, in all its diversity and for the broadest of (inter)national audiences. The orchestra goes beyond standards by composing original music and unique arrangements.
