French president Emmanuel Macron ended his two-day state visit to Belgium today with a visit to BOZAR – Centre for Fine Arts.

President Macron and his wife Brigit met a group of young students from Europyourhope?, a collaboration between the Institut Sainte-Marie in Brussels and the Lycée Rodin in Paris. Students from both school participated in our Next Generation, Please programme, under the guidance of two artists: French choreographer K. Goldstein and Belgian visual artist Bonom.

President Macron gave a speech in the Horta Hall for a gathering of some 500 French business leaders, diplomats, and cultural movers and shakers in Belgium.

The visit was an exceptional occasion as it was the first official state visit by a French president since 1983. For Emmanuel Macron it was already his second time at BOZAR, after a visit in 2016 during Les Journées de Bruxelles.
