BOZAR LAB will participate in the upcoming Californian festival The Grid: Exposure – Art + Tech + Policy Days, an annual festival bringing together politicians, technology specialists and artists from Europe and the Silicon Valley, managed by Open Austria in San Francisco.
This year, one of the virtual workshops of the festival is co-organised by BOZAR LAB: “Taming Tech: The Policy of Being Human”. The event is part of a planetary art & tech network and will be scheduled on the San Francisco event calendar on 10 September, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The interactive workshop will focus on the power of art to shape technological development for the benefit of all. The guests will delve into the ethical aspects of ICTs and offer their own vision of technology, one that meets the needs of human beings and prompts social emancipation. The workshop is in keeping with BOZAR LAB’s mission: for the past several years, we have strived to encourage the thinking of a future in which technology is centred around people.
“Taming Tech: The Policy of Being Human” is part of the programme The Grid: Exposure – Art + Tech + Policy Days, held from 10 to 13 September 2020 in San Francisco by Open Austria, in partnership with the Center for Humane Technology, S+T+ARTS, Ars Electronica, the European Union Delegation to the USA in Washington DC and BOZAR, and will also be featured in the Ars Electronica Festival 2020 programme.
