Does Bozar accept donations?
Yes, with great pleasure. The covid crisis and the fire of Monday 18 January did hit our arts centre particularly hard. You can support BOZAR - as a private person or as a company - by making a donation yourself or by starting a fundraising campaign for BOZAR.
What will Bozar use the proceeds of the fundraising for?
The money we raise through fundraising goes to BOZAR as a whole, to necessary repairs to the building that are not covered by insurance, as well as to the umbrella social and artistic project. All donations go directly to the means necessary to continue our work as an artistic house.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount I can donate?
No, there's no minimum or maximum amount. You can donate as much as you want. If you want to benefit from a tax deduction, you need to donate at least 40 euros.
Who can donate?
All donations, no matter how small or large, are welcome. A donation from an individual visitor means as much to us as support from a large company.
What will Bozar do with my data (GDPR)?
Your data will only be used to process your donation and - if applicable - to send you a tax certificate.
Will the fire damage not be compensated by the insurance?
Today it is still unclear what the exact direct and indirect consequences of the fire are, and where exactly insurance intervenes. There is not only the physical damage to the building, the interior and the organ, but there are also indirect losses. For example, not all halls can open and a number of exhibitions have been discontinued. This results in less ticket revenue, but also in less events and partner revenue. All these indirect losses affect an institution that - like other cultural players - was already struggling in a now long-running health crisis.
Is online payment secure?
Yes, the security and stability of our payment platforms are guaranteed. For online sales we work with Ingenico, and specifically for fundraising you can transfer your donation or pay with Payconiq.
Do I get a tax receipt?
From an amount of 40 euros and up, you will receive a tax certificate in February of the following calendar year. You can find more information on the website of the government.
