Am I allowed to guide my own group? What rules must I follow?

The number of groups visiting the exhibitions is limited to guarantee the comfort and safety of visitors. Advance booking for groups without a guide or for external guides is therefore obligatory.

Do you want to guide your own group? If so, we ask you to respect the following:

  • External guides, as well as teachers and their classes, are welcome, provided their request is sent in writing at least three weeks in advance and addressed to groups@bozar.be.
  • The number of groups present at the exhibitions is limited so as to guarantee the quality of the visits. BOZAR therefore reserves the right not to authorise external guides if the maximum number of groups at the exhibition is reached.

Is the exhibition accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Please address any request for assistance when making your booking: we will make staff available to accompany you in the lift.

Folding cane chairs are available at the entrance to the exhibition.

Special rates apply for persons with reduced mobility. Further details are available on the group rates page and rates & reductions page

Can I cancel or change the booking for a guided tour?

If you cancel or change your booking, please let us know at least three weeks in advance by email addressed to groups@bozar.be.

Our freelance guides set aside a timeslot especially for your group. If you make a last-minute cancellation they can invoice you for it. So please ensure you postpone or cancel your visit at least three weeks in advance to avoid being charged unnecessarily. We ask groups without a guide to cancel at the very latest two weeks in advance, so that other groups have the opportunity to their your place.

What to do if my group is late on the day of the visit?

If you are late, please inform the reception as a matter of urgency on +32 479 98 66 12 or on +32 2 507 82 15.

If you arrive late and we have been informed of this, your guided tour will be shortened by the equivalent to how late it begins. If we do not hear anything from you within 15 minutes following the time scheduled for the tour to begin, we regret that we will be unable to guarantee it.

How do I organise my group’s arrival on the day of the tour?

Unless specified otherwise in the confirmation letter, groups enter the Centre for Fine Arts via rue Ravenstein 23, 1000 Brussels.

Guide(s) will be waiting for their group at the Info Desk (rue Ravenstein 23, 1000 Brussels). See indications on the map at the bottom of this page.

Group members should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour so that they can leave coats and bags at the cloakroom (at entrance level).

The person in charge of the group is requested to go to BOZAR TICKETS, rue Ravenstein 16, opposite the main entrance, to receive proof of payment for the guide(s) or if necessary to pay the admission for their group (for any questions see ‘How do I pay for the visit?’).

If each participant has to purchase their ticket individually, it is essential to do this first so as to not delay the start of the tour. There is no group rate if the participants pay separately.

Where can I eat before or after my visit?

The BOZAR Brasserie and BOZAR Café Victor will be open for you to enjoy a moment of relaxation. Info and bookings on their respective websites.
