‘Tenéis Que Venir A Verla - Jonás Trueba’

4 Dec.'23
- 19:00

Close-up: Jonás Trueba

Wintertime in Madrid, long-lost friends in their thirties meet up again at a concert. After the concert, Guillermo and Susana beg their old friends Dani and Elena to come and visit them in the countryside. A few months later, when temperatures have risen again, they meet up again. In just over an hour, the film shows the two couples, eating, playing and having scintillating discussions on life unfolding between city and countryside and making different choices. Seemingly fleeting unremarkable events that turn into something magical at the hands of Jonás Trueba.

The screening will be followed by a talk with Jonás Trueba and Itsaso Arana, moderated by Hugo Amoedo.

Hugo Amoedo (Redondela, Spain) has been revolving around cinema since his arrival in Brussels in 2011. Master in Film at Luca School of Arts, he has directed several short films. During the last few years, he has also collaborated with the Instituto Cervantes Bruselas and with film festivals like Novos Cinemas (Pontevedra), FIFF (Namur), and the documentary film festival En ville ! (Brussels). He’s about to release a new short film: pechar caixas abrir caixas (‘closed boxes open boxes').
