Intern- creative research assistant - Digital artworks

 

Digital arts, metaverse, tokens, NFTs, streaming platforms, AI, the web ... digital media permanently pervade our daily experience. Bozar wishes to respond to this by expanding its offer with a digital scene - to offer its own public an extra experience, but also to introduce new target groups to Bozar in the virtual world.

 

INTERN CREATIVE RESEARCH ASSISTANT – DIGITAL ARTWORKS

 As an intern, you will join our Bozar Digital team as a Creative Research Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for development of a comprehensive database of award-winning and successful XR, interactive, immersive, and AI-related digital artistic projects. 

  • Research: Identify, research a diverse range of XR, interactive, immersive, and AI-related digital artworks from across the world, including but not limited to installations, performances, digital experiences, and narratives. 
  • Database development: Collect, develop, and maintain a database of digital artworks responding to key themes of Bozar programme to come. Appropriately categorize the information in detail such as artist profiles, project descriptions, technical specifications, and awards/recognition to ensure easy access to the dataset. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with all departments of Cinema, Exhibitions, Music and the Digital Cell at Bozar to gather comprehensive information about potential transversal projects. 

Your Profile 

  • You are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Fine arts, Digital arts, Digital design, Digital media, Computer science, Media studies, etc.). 
  • You have a strong interest in digital art, XR & AI technologies, interactive & immersive experiences, and digital storytelling.
  • You have a good level of English,  knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
  • You are able to work with Microsoft 365 tools. 
  • You have strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and integrate information from multiple sources. 
  • You are detail-oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills. 

Our Offer

  • An unpaid internship in Belgium's largest cultural institution in a multilingual, international and dynamic environment, 2 or 3 days a week for 3-4 months. Starting date by mutual agreement. Flexible working hours. Possibility of teleworking.
  • Full reimbursement of rail, tram and/or bus travel costs, during the period of the internship
