‘Cerdita - Carlota Martínez Pereda’

24 Oct.'23
- 18:30

In the presence of the director.

Sara, an overweight teenager, witnesses the kidnapping of a group of girls who regularly bully her. When the police start asking questions, Sara is unsure whether she should tell the truth or protect the perpetrator. A surprisingly thrilling and emotionally compelling horror film.

Carlota Pereda is a Spanish film and television director and screenwriter. Her first short film was Las rubias ('The Blondes'), followed by another short film, Cerdita (‘Piggy’), which won the Forqué Award and the Goya Award for Best Short Film. She later adapted Cerdita to a full-length format, which won the Méliès d'Or.

The conversation with the director will be moderated by Mariana Cadenas Sangronis. Mariana, a visual storyteller with a ‘Doc Nomads’ master's degree from LUCA School of Arts, is currently working on an animated series about migration and a VR documentary experience.
