Sharon Lockhart (1964) is a photographer, sculptor, and filmmaker born in Norwood, Massachusetts, who lives and works in Los Angeles. Through a diverse practice that includes installation, photography, film, painting and sculpture, Sharon Lockhart creates fascinating and complex interactions between the various media and forms she employs, the stories she encounters, and the communities and people with whom she collaborates.

She completed more than 15 films since 1997, which have been exhibited at festivals and museums around the world, including Berlinale, Jeu de Paume, Toronto International Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival.

Sharon Lockhart presents her feature film Eventide twice at Cinematek and two short films at Cinema RITCS. An exhibition (Mike Kelley, Sharon Lockhart, Silke Otto-Knapp) at Jan Mot features recent work and runs until the 23rd of March.
