Maher Zain, born in Tripoli (Lebanon), grew up in a musical family whose father was a singer. When he was 8 years old, his family moved to Sweden; he attended primary and secondary school here and studied aviation technology. In addition to his studies, Zain learned to play keyboard and music became an essential part of Maher's world. He became involved as a producer in the music scene where he became acquainted with the internationally renowned producer RedOne. He collaborated with top artists such as Akon, Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias and the late Michael Jackson. Zain’s musical career accelerated as an assistant producer of RedOne. Maher later moved with him to New York, where he ended up at the top of the New York music industry. He worked with Kat Deluna on her debut album and produced top hits such as Whine up and Run the Show. Maher had what many would describe as a dream job, but it didn't feel that way to him. "I loved the music, but I hated everything that surrounded it." He always felt like something was wrong.

After giving up a lucrative career in the mainstream music industry, Maher chose to make music inspired by his European, Arabic and Islamic background and which is closer to its roots. He collaborated with Awakening Records (who also launched the career of British artist Sami Yusuf) to inspire youth worldwide. In January 2009, Maher Zain decided to work on an album that reflects his true identity and signed a contract with Awakening Records.

Maher's debut album Thank You Allah was released in early March 2010, reaching number 1 on the world music list of Amazon's Music and number 9 on the R&B charts. Since then Maher has sold out concerts in Algeria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Great Britain, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Sweden and the USA. His album Forgive Me, which was released in 2012, also achieved great success and is well on its way to surpassing the success of his debut album. After this Maher Zain released his long awaited third album "One". As usual, he has released the album in various versions, an International, an Arabic and a Turkish version. Fifteen sublime songs, some of which are duets with international mega stars: the Turkish singer Mustafa Ceceli, the Moroccan Issam Kamal and the Pakistani singer Atif Aslam. Last year he released the album "The Best Of Maher Zain Acoustic & Live” which he recorded in the presence of a select group of fans in the Netherlands.
