‘Toko Telo’

Led by a virtuoso singer accompanied on the guitar and percussion, Toko Telo takes us to the banks of Madagascar. The Madagascan trio brings together three exceptional musicians who are amongst the best-known of the genre: the singer and percussionist Monika Njava, with her rich timbre that’s expressive and full of life and emotion, and the fantastic guitar players from Madagascar:  Joël Rabesolo and Teta. Winners of several awards, together they go back to their insular roots and interpret traditional Madagascan heritage in an Afro-folk version with sensual, rhythmic music that has a distinctive scent of the “Red Island”.
