“The organ is an orchestra in itself. You are simultaneously the conductor and the musicians – it’s amusing and inspiring!” For Karol Mossakowski (born in 1990), an organist’s main satisfaction comes from mastering the entire musical object. The passionate musician has conquered the world with his daring interpretations and improvisations of silent films. After coming to BOZAR in 2019, as part of the BOZAR NEXT GENERATION series, the young organist now shines in Francis Poulenc's Organ Concerto. The Brussels Philharmonic completes with works by two Russian contemporaries: Stravinsky's Dumbarton Oaks and Prokofiev's First Symphony.
Concerto for chamber orchestra, “Dumbarton Oaks”
Concerto for Organ, Strings, and Timpani, FP 93
Symphony no. 1, op. 25, "Classical"
