‘14 Juillet’

Fabrice Adde is a French actor trained at the Conservatory in Liège, where he still lives. He has made his mark both on stage and in cinema, including films by Bouli Lanners (Eldorado) and Alejandro González Iñárritu (The Revenant). In this solo performance, he plays a lecturer supposed to teach us “How to Speak in Public”. Instead we meet an actor incapable of lying, whose honesty verges on the brink of madness. He has lost the thread of his craft, his text, his character, and happily digresses into the stories of his origins, his readings and his projects. With relish, he indulges in the insolence, the generosity and the contempt aroused in him by the world of today, tackling the major themes of our age – gender, ecology, the rise of the extreme right, migrants and showbusiness in particular.
