‘Let us enjoy live music again in a historical courtyard’

The return of concerts, warm spring days, an enchanting environment: all the elements are in place to experience musical evenings of pure delight once more. June will find Bozar in the courtyard of the Coudenberg Palace for the Summer Palace Concerts, an eclectic series of open air performances.  A kaleidoscope of musical worlds awaits you: jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms, tango, electronic music, Bach on the piano, a musical journey to the court of Emperor Charles V, the romanticism of Schubert, the humour of Satie… After several months of limited cultural activity, Bozar invites you to enjoy a breath of fresh air and savour once again the atmosphere of a live concert in the marvellous surroundings of a prestigious historical site.

During the Summer Palace Concerts, Bozar invites you to discover an exceptional piano provided by Maene: the Chris Maene Straight Strung Grand Piano. This parallel string grand piano, commissioned by Daniel Barenboim in 2013, combines the sonic richness characteristic of historic pianos with the volume, clarity, range and playing comfort of the best modern grand pianos. Come listen to this unique instrument, praised by pianists such as Martha Argerich, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Eric Le Sage and Jef Neve.
