Legacies From The Black Cosmos

The 6th edition of the Afropolitan Festival develops around the concept of Legacies from the Black Cosmos which praise the power of imaginations of black communities in creating new cosmoses where freedom of expression and self-identification is possible outside societal definitions. The festival brings together contemporary artists from the Belgian and international African diaspora who draw on the movement of Afrofuturism born in the 1950s and its multiple legacies in the arts, aesthetics, philosophy and technology. Together, they present a range of activities from music and cinema to an exhibition, literary talks and debates, an afterparty, and creative and interactive family activities. Get ready for three days of immersive experiences that will take you to a new cosmos floating between the real world and new perspectives!
