creative residence and poetic dialogue - free online event

This unique performance which underlines the power of the creative process based on intercultural exchange, could normally have been attended physically. Yet the current health measures do not allow you to come to the event physically. That is why you can follow the performance online. There is no need to register in advance. More information will follow soon.

How can we promote global dialogue without homogenizing cultural diversity? How can we promote a (re)awakening to others and to oneself while celebrating cultural wealth? These are the questions posed by the multidisciplinary performance When I Finally Wake Up, presented by Espirito Mundo ASBL; a work of co-creation by a diverse group that is willing to question itself and to seek beyond predetermined conditionings and categories. Five artists steeped in different backgrounds, who have migrated to the four corners of the world to develop their own cultural vision, will combine their talents in this 15-day collaborative residency, followed by an original performance that will express the strength of an awakening impulse. The result, a fusion of hybrid rhythms, words and images, will be revealed with Lisette Ma Neza, a young singer and slam poet from Rwanda; Shak Shakito, a Congolese musician; Bouchra Lamsyeh, a Franco-Moroccan DJ; and Alex Cepile, a multimedia artist, and Aline Yasmin, poet and curator, who are both Italo-Brazilian.
