Films you won’t see anywhere else

What if cinema were a subtle tapestry, weaving voices, forms, ideas, and sensations together? The 2025–26 season celebrates this complexity as a creative force, championed by filmmakers who challenge our ways of seeing.

Three Close-ups form the backbone of this year’s programme. The first revisits Dogme95, a movement that stripped cinema of its artifice to reclaim the raw power of the image. This thread continues with five films under DOGMA 25, a contemporary evolution of the Danish manifesto. The second spotlights Jessica Sarah Rinland, the Argentine-British artist whose work blends science and poetry, through impressionistic, tactile cinema. The third Close-up is devoted to Albert Serra, alchemist of extremes, whose films resonate with the Goya exhibition.

Cinema also opens itself to other iconic artists. Gary Hustwit’s documentary Eno employs revolutionary technology to explore the work and ideas of visionary musician Brian Eno, with each screening offering a unique experience. Among this season’s standout New Releases are Fierté nationale : de Jéricho vers Gaza, One to One: John & Yoko, and Happy Holidays. Immersive virtual reality screenings further enrich this tapestry of images, perspectives, and sensations.
