‘Bozar Next Generation: Andrea Mancianti, Leonardo Melchionda, Federico Tramontana’

21 Nov.'21
- 11:00

For the Italian trio Mancianti/Tramontana/Melchionda, music is a field of discovery that is yet to reveal all its secrets. Thanks to its electro-acoustic line-up, the ensemble can tap into many possibilities, ranging from traditional to unconventional approaches. After Unspoken, composed by Giulia Lorusso during the pandemic, the trio will perform Regime Orizzontale (2018) by Stanislas Pili, a work revealing the sonic potential of a bass drum played by hand or with various objects, whose hyper-amplified, then modified sound is diffused through a spatialising device. In his latest work, Pilvissä (2021), Andrea Mancianti subjects the sounds produced by a hybrid electric guitar to a mechanical transducer to create haunting sound clouds. After performing these works, the trio will then lead you through their astonishing improvisations.
