- 20:30

Tutu Puoane was born in Pretoria (South Africa) and first settled in the Netherlands in 2002, having been in Antwerp since 2004. In the meantime, she has become one of the most charismatic personalities on our stages, with, in addition to her own projects, several remarkable collaborations with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Bart Peeters and Wim Vandekeybus, among others. Tutu has a unique ability to enchant her audience with her beautiful voice and spontaneous charm. Her partner Ewout Pierreux, with whom she has been working for more than 15 years now, accompanies her on the piano. The two know each other through and through and together they take an intimate trip through their favourite songs. Prepare yourself for a heart-warming evening with songs soaked in jazz and soul, spiced up with a bit of Africa.During the second part of the evening, guitarist Lionel Loueke pays tribute to his mentor Herbie Hancock with some surprising and witty versions of well-known tunes by this jazz legend.
