Workshop

Have you always dreamt of starting your own far-right media empire? Are you jealous of Órban’s media moguls in Hungary or Salvini’s new head at RAI? Are you also looking for ways to increase your influence and win over swaths of the population?

Look no further! With this seven-step workshop session you will be able to set up a far-right media empire in no time.

Building on the article & research by Nina Horaczek for Falter, for which she got nominated for the European Press Prize, this workshop will outline the strategies that extremist parties use in order to seize control of the media and influence public opinion to their benefit.

The workshop will give some inspiration, looking at Austria’s FPÖ or Órban’s strategies and challenge you to follow the seven steps to set up your own media empire. You will set up the name, logo and branding, prepare a media strategy and set out the next steps for your total media domination.

Mick ter Reehorst, the editor of Are We Europe, will help you navigate the choppy waters of the murky media waters of a new war of propaganda battles.

You can find Nina’s article here:

We will also have a live illustrator there to prepare your propaganda posters to take home as a souvenir. Premiering at European Lab Brussels.
