- 20:30

BOZAR OPEN AIR CINEMA X BRIFF

At the moment this event is sold-out. A waiting list with registration will be created on the spot for people who were no longer able to book a ticket in advance.

Presented in the framework of the Brussels International Filmfestival.

Roman is a top level cyclist recovering from an injury through hard work and strict regimen. To improve his performance, he even sleeps in an oxygen tent installed in his bedroom. This is a bitter pill to swallow for his wife, Šarlota, whose long-time wish is to have a child. They both get lost in their obsessions and improve their bodies to a point where they might even frighten each other. Domestique is a strong movie about the destructive effect of our self-centeredness and the loss of the ability to communicate.

Adam Sedlák is an emerging Czech filmmaker who has shot several shorts and was nominated for an Award for Best Student Film for his graduate project, L.H.. Domestique (2018) is his feature-length debut that was screened in competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
