One night a boy with no memories washes up onto the shore. Encounters on the beach teach him the rules of the game. Or maybe it is those he meets who have the most to learn from him.

When the lights go down, you find yourself submerged in a sensory world where first the music, then the film or the actors’ voices guide you through the feelings and experiences of the strange child who washed ashore. We experience his wonder as he discovers everything for the first time and we share his encounters with colourful figures on the beach.

SHEL(L)TER is a modern fairytale to enjoy with your heart and your head, tackling issues such as ‘being different’, caring for other people and self-esteem. It is about what it means to be a child or simply a human being, and above all about the universal longing for protection, a home, ‘to belong’.
