In February 1992, the arrest of a Milan politician marked the start of a large-scale legal investigation: operation “Clean Hands”. 1992 retraces this major episode which had a lasting impact on Italian politics and society. After Gomorra, Italy serves up an ambitious new ensemble series, this time dealing with the backrooms of power, with a typically ’90s esthetic.
