Melodies of Hope and Joy

After her performance with the Belgian National Orchestra in 2016, singer and songwriter Abeer Nehme returns to our main hall. Now at the side of a 17-piece ensemble and a choir with rock-solid musicians from the Mediterranean and Arab world. Together, they invite you on a musical journey through the Middle East with a series of religious and traditional songs with roots of Eastern Christian song from the Levant. Abeer will sing in different languages like Aramaic, Armenian and Arabic, and through this linguistic richness highlights the cultural diversity and common values of the region. Moments of happiness, misfortune, joy and love alternate in songs, some of which are already considered Middle Eastern classics.
