Shelters for Senses

Aleksandra Kasuba (1923–2019) imagined alternative ways of living through her practice on the threshold of design, architecture and experimental art. Fleeing Lithuania after World War II, she emigrated to the US, settling in New York and later New Mexico. The exhibition spans six decades of work, from early paintings and mosaics to later sculptures and architectural designs, inspired by nature and a search for deeper connections between humanity and the natural world.
