Bozar presents an evening featuring two choreographic productions echoing the two major exhibitions on beauty: Seconds in Clouds by Alexandra Waierstall and LANDSCAPE by Elena Antoniou.  

Waierstall employs a sober, precisely structured movement language that enters into dialogue with visual artist Rita McBride’s sculpture, Arena Seating. This performance explores the relationship between body and space, inviting the audience to dream their surroundings.

LANDSCAPE by Elena Antoniou is a solo performance that convokes the body as a collective landscape. It skillfully invites and provokes the viewer’s gaze by overexposing the female body and challenging the outer limits of spectacle. Antoniou instigates the space for the political body to present itself as deeply traumatized but also unabashedly sexual. 

These two performances question beauty in their own way, moving away from conventional forms, sometimes as a speculation of the imagination, sometimes as an emancipatory and political force. An evening that crosses Bozar from the Horta Hall to the Terarken, as part of Cyprus' Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
