Anna Thorvaldsdottir

The Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir unfolds sublime soundscapes like no others. These slow, atmospheric pieces, greatly influenced by nature, are often preceded by sketches that she then turns into sound. The Belgian National Orchestra will present four large-scale works. For Metaxis, it will move to the Ravenstein Gallery, where the orchestra will separate into different groups. Het Collectief and Quatuor Diotima present her gossamer-fine chamber music.
